Nobody likes moving. It’s a trying and demanding process. Especially when you’re the global leader in Web analytics. With more moving pieces than a Rube Goldberg machine, there was a lot of ground to cover as the company switched from subsidiary status to operational independence. ACME was called in to take the transitional wheel, and make sure the wheels didn’t fall off the bus as it rode on to a new, brighter future.

With nothing short of a full operational implementation on the board, we had our work cut out for us. Everything from finance and human resources to order processing and accounts receivable needed to be considered. We took stock, defined needs and made a plan for rollout. All the while keeping an eye on the clock: The switchover date was set in stone.

Dividing the organization into operations and finance allowed us to focus on the specific needs of each department. We provided the technical and operational foundation to make sure that system rollout, configuration and testing all worked hand in hand with end-user training and ongoing monitoring.

By providing the right leadership at the right time, and by challenging the organization to make choices that behooved their newfound independence, we were able to design new processes that made sense, rather than just copying the old paradigm. As a result, the company transitioned seamlessly into independence. It worked so well that ACME was asked to help with other aspects of the transition after the initial switch. Who says moving has to be difficult?
