Rian Tydeman

When you’re the oldest of four boys, you learn project management at an early age. And it doesn’t mean sitting on a problem until it says “uncle.” Whether the project was building a LEGO™ castle or organizing a neighborhood soccer game, Rian has always succeeded as a leader. He was born and raised in Portland, and while he was growing up, his intrepid family often traveled to far-off places like England to visit his family or to more exotic places like Turkey and Macedonia. It opened Rian’s eyes to the world and taught him that if you want to get where you’re going, you’d better have a good guide, or at least a road map.

Rian’s career journey has included stops at several leading technology and consulting companies. He has more than nine years of project management experience, primarily in business analysis, Web development and site analytics. Before joining ACME, Rian worked at WebTrends, where he managed teams (like brothers) and completed many challenging projects (like keeping his brothers in line on foreign lands). In his other career positions, Rian has mastered everything from how to build coalitions of stakeholders to how to launch and implement global initiatives. Our clients now benefit from his leadership background and upbringing. Same as his brothers once did.

Rian graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a B.A. in Business Marketing. He has also completed the E-Commerce & Web Marketing Certification at the University of Washington, and the Web Interface, Navigation & Information Design Program at the School of Visual Concepts in Seattle. Rian played soccer in college and now enjoys teaching kids the joys of the game. He also delivers food as a volunteer for the Sunshine Division, an area nonprofit. He figures it’s time he gave back after all those years stealing pizza off his little brothers’ plates.
