Mike Stanojev

It's been said "if you can find a path with no obstacles, it probably does't lead anywhere." Ask Mike Stanojev, and he'd agree. He's trudged for hours through waist-deep snow in New Hampshire to seek out the state's most spectacular waterfalls during spring thaw. He's ridden his mountain bike deep into the Canadian Rockies, reaching places accessible only by bike or helicopter. He once rebuilt his entire house, tearing it down to the studs and starting over, teaching himself plumbing, carpentry and electrical work along the way. Whether it's conquering the Great Outdoors or rehabbing his home, Mike admits his most gratifying achievements have all come after overcoming obstacles.

The same could be said for Mike's professional career. Throughout the years, he's developed a reputation as a guy who is not easily deterred by "show stoppers." Mike is meticulous about details, and he's not afraid to propose a change of direction if he feels it's the right thing to do. An example? When a major pharmaceutical company tasked Mike with leading the rollout of employee self-service kiosk machines throughout the United States exactly as they had done previously in Germany, he hesitated. Mike sensed there was a better way, and rather than simply execute their orders, he developed a business case and counter-proposed an alternative strategy utilizing desktop PCs. Mike worked aggressively to prototype his proposed solution. After several iterations and refinements, Mike's solution proved to be a valid one and was quickly deployed. His fresh thinking not only achieved the company's objectives, but also saved them more than $1.5 million.

Over his professional career, Mike has successfully created value in leading projects ranging from business transformation to systems and enterprise portal implementations to process improvement and change management. Prior to joining ACME, Mike worked at PwC Consulting/IBM Global Services and Mercer where his clients included many global Fortune 500 organizations across industries including pharmaceuticals, healthcare, retail, high technology, non-profit and public sector.

Originally from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Mike now lives in Portland, Oregon. When he's not helping his clients develop creative solutions to complex challenges, he can be found out on the mountain bike trails or playing the drums at a local pub or café during open mic night. His next big project is restoring his 1974 Ford Bronco back to factory specifications.
