Michael Carnes
Michael Carnes is like a real-life Energizer Bunny - minus the bright pink fur and drum. He's happiest when he's going and going and going. He describes himself as an outdoor sports enthusiast with a bit of an endorphin addiction. His most recent quest is a ski tour from Chamonix, France to Zermatt, Switzerland - over 100 kilometers across seven of the highest mountain passes in Europe. The further Michael goes and the harder he pushes himself, the better the buzz.
As a consultant, Michael attacks problems much like he does the outdoors – with fervor. Not one to give up, Michael’s professional success draws on his commitment to proposing ideas and then hammering away until they are realized. Over the course of his 20-year career, he has done everything from lead large systems projects at multi-billion dollar organizations to launch a wireless ISP on $20K that sold for $600K less than 24 months later. Michael holds bachelor’s degree in business administration from University of Washington and a master’s degree in technical communication from University of Minnesota.
When he’s not charging hard in the outdoors or the workplace, Michael spends time with his wife Claire Celeste, and 10-year-old daughter Mackenzie. Not ones to be outdone, Claire Celeste and Mackenzie are every bit as high-energy as Michael. From rafting and skiing to traveling the world, this is a family on the move. They just keep going, and going and going….
