Christina Panagakos

A natural-born leader and problem solver, Chris Panagakos admits she's never been afraid to take on a challenge. Even as a little girl. When she was eight years old, her father took her to New York City's Central Park. Not to feed the ducks or ride the carousel, but to play chess against the Russians. As in Russian chess masters. The experience was pure exhilaration – and inspiration. Chris learned she could always think big, as long as she thought ahead. No opponent or challenge was too formidable with the right strategy.

Helping clients find the right strategy is exactly what Chris does today at ACME and has done throughout her career. She's worked with clients as diverse as a Hollywood studio struggling to adapt to a changing marketplace to a Fortune 500 consumer products company experiencing crippling supply chain issues. Chris is a former principal at Booz, Allen & Hamilton, where she rose through the ranks to develop and lead numerous strategic opportunity and operational improvement programs. She has also served as president and chief operating officer of a financial services and technology firm. Chris enjoys the process of problem solving just as much as she does the "Aha!" moment. And she's not afraid to ask the tough questions – just ask her clients.

Chris earned her MBA from Harvard Business School, her master's degree in chemical engineering from Stanford University, and her bachelor's in chemical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Early in her career, she worked as an engineer and project manager, developing a new process to manufacture a human blood substitute from cow's blood. Lest you think Chris is all business and no play, think again. She runs, rollerblades and plays tennis. She's a world traveler and ocean lover. If you can't find Chris at her home in San Francisco's Marina District, look for her in a quiet New England coastal town, peering over the Atlantic. Or in the Greek Islands, sailing the Mediterranean.
