Community committed
OUR LIFE BEYOND WORK. YES, IT EXISTS.
As Winston Churchill so aptly put it: We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. And yes, all of us at ACME do indeed have a life. We feel it’s important to get away from work and give our time and passion to programs and organizations that benefit our community. To be honest, it’s part of our growth model and we enjoy it.
Every ACME employee is offered an annual one-week paid sabbatical to devote to community service. It’s been used in a variety of ways – volunteering at a summer camp for kids impacted by HIV/AIDS, improving the habitats for animals at our local zoo and simply helping kids learn to read. We also actively apply our leadership skills by participating on local community boards, leading panels, and providing pro-bono strategic planning and project management services.
Within the past three years, ACME has provided over 2000 man and woman hours to our local community. And we are just getting started.
